Valli presented his autumn winter offering today and as always, it was a fantastically fabulous collection of fun prints and candy colours.
We tend to get pretty excited when it comes to the haute couture looks presented at Paris Fashion Week and Giambattista Valli is always a highlight. The Italian designer’s signature minidress is updated for this season with bright colours and eclectic prints but the full length gowns are statement show-stoppers.Giambattista Valli showed off an eccentric couture collection in Paris. The Italian fashion designer is famous for his whimsical designs and he didn’t disappoint on the runway, when he unveiled his latest range.
Models stepped out in an array of show-stopping outfits, from cute cocktail dresses to matching tunics and trousers. Giambattista made sure every piece had attention to detail, such as a black mini dress with sheer billowing fabric over the shoulders and front to form a V shape and a sparkling silver trim at the bottom. To add to the extravagance the model wore oversized round sunglasses, which were seen throughout the whole show.
They were also worn by a model who rocked green netted trousers with a matching long top and the holes were so big that onlookers got a glimpse at her skin underneath. While the clothes weren’t exactly suitable for an everyday party they certainly made the perfect dressing-up wardrobe.
Gowns took to the catwalk with voluptuous skirts and floral details. They came in various shades, from a black and pink design to a white and pale mint green finish. Despite the huge ruffles and volume in his collection, Giambattista did make sure to highlight the women’s curves wherever he could, whether that be their waists or legs.
